Why choose a Challenge Football Tour?
Challenge has years of experience in organising volunteer trips. We know what is needed to make sure you have the trip of a lifetime. You are supported by our experienced staff throughout the planning stages and into your actual trip. Your fundraising contributions go direct to helping the Challenge projects that you will visit on your trip. We also love to show our Challenge volunteers the local tourist sites and activities in the area, so your trip will be packed full of wonderful memories.
Why fundraise to go on a Football Tour?
Your fundraising total covers minimum administration costs, your transport, general hands on support and accommodation, with the remainder donated to the projects you visit. These financial resources are vital and will contribute to the overall well-being of youth living in poverty.
How do I book my flights?
You will need to book your flights will book your flights yourself. Once the dates for your tour have been arranged we will advise you on which travel agent to book your flights though and for which dates.
What is the in-country support?
The in-country support will be in the form of a Challenge from the UK. They will give you detailed information on your stay and guide you through any difficulties you may have. You will also have guidance from the people in charge of the projects as they will supervise your volunteer placements. We have an extensive network of people in-country who look after you and provide you with a safe and highly enjoyable experience.
Where do I find out about fundraising, cultural information, vaccinations, money, visa's, what to bring etc?
Once we have accepted your application and you’re deposit has been put down, you will be emailed by one of our team with the Challenge Handbook which will have all the necessary information you will require for your stay. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further queries.
Can we volunteer in a group?
You will have the opportunity to volunteer with a friend or a group of friends if the applicants are expcepted on to the tours.
How does the application procedure work?
Participants apply for a tour via the website. Volunteers will then have a Skype call to discuss the tour. If you are accepted on the tour then volunteers need to sign up for a £175 years membership of Challenge and raise the required donation two months before your trip.
